Job summary

Allegheny County DHS Youth Support Partner is seeking a dedicated peer mentor to support youth and young adults in navigating services, developing life skills, and making healthy choices. • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 1 year combined work experience in child-serving human service systems or related fields.
• Ability to self-disclose personal life experiences appropriately in line with policy.

Responsibilities

• Act as advocate and peer mentor for youth in DHS services.
• Participate in Family Development Credential and other trainings (e.g., High Fidelity Wraparound).
• Speak up for youth in 1-on-1, small group, and large meeting settings.
• Coordinate youth access to resources and natural supports; act as liaison to professionals.
• Represent DHS in meetings, task forces, and community events; promote youth voice and choice.
