Job summary

Cocoon House is seeking a Juvenile Justice Family Advocate to work with families to reduce home conflict and strengthen relationships. You will provide family-centered case management, participate in community-based services, and help coordinate supports across programs to ensure consistent care for youth.

Evening flexibility and some weekend sessions are required. Ideal candidates have two years of experience with parents of youth and knowledge of juvenile justice processes; bilingual

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working directly with parents or guardians of middle school and/or high school youth.
• Experience supporting youth and families involved in the juvenile justice system preferred.
• Knowledge of juvenile justice processes, court systems, and community resources related to diversion, probation, and youth advocacy preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong crisis de-escalation abilities.
• Knowledge of youth development and strengths-based approaches.
• Lived experience encouraged to apply.
• Facilitation experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management to 15 families to reduce conflict and increase stability.
• Establish supportive relationships with youth and families, including those involved with juvenile justice.
• Support youth in creating personal goals to work on with their families.
• Collaborate with Cocoon House Youth Engagement Team for coordinated services.
• Represent Cocoon House in juvenile justice court as needed.
• Build community partnerships and source resources for Snohomish County families.
