The role requires availability 2:00pm–6:00pm, 20 hours per week, with mandatory orientation and ongoing training; strong classroom management and collaborative teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Available during after-school hours, 2:00pm - 6:00pm, 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience working with children or youth in group settings.
• Knowledge of DYCD and DOH mandates.
• Knowledge of classroom management.
• Familiar with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom, and Google Meet.
• Ability to engage, motivate and create interactive enrichment activities.
• Willingness to participate in training and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead project-based activities in arts, STEM, sports, or leadership.
• Design sequential activities aligned with program goals and DYCD/COMPASS-SONYC frameworks.
• Provide safe, organized spaces and materials for activities.
• Supervise youth, communicate expectations, and support positive behavior.
• Collaborate with staff to coordinate schedules and support youth needs.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and supervision.
