Job summary

Old Colony YMCA in Whitman, MA is seeking an Assistant Group Leader to join our after-school program. You’ll help run games, crafts, and activities, acting as a role model and friend to the children while ensuring safety and inclusion.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to the start of school and/or 2:00 PM–6:00 PM, with colleagues in a collaborative, energetic environment. Prior child-care experience is valued, and you’ll bring energy and creativity to our lively program.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Ability to supervise groups and ensure safety.
• Positive attitude and reliability in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging games, activities, and crafts.
• Support Group Leaders and Site Coordinator in daily operations.
• Encourage kids, help with homework, and promote YMCA values.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and clean activity area.
• Model energy, creativity, and friendly behavior for children.
