Job summary

Old Colony YMCA in Plympton, MA is seeking a Group Leader to guide activities, foster inclusiveness, and create memorable experiences for children. You’ll lead games, crafts, and adventures, while modeling positive behavior and teamwork in a safe, supportive environment.

You’ll work with a dedicated site team to ensure smooth daily operations, coordinate with a Site Coordinator, and help with setup, activities, and clean-up. Energy, compassion, and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age and 6 months school age experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months.
• Negative Mantoux TB test and immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella.
• Ability to create and sustain a culture of excellence and work and thrive as part of a cohesive team.
• Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessary.
• Will sometimes work early morning, late nights and weekends.
• Strong oral communication skills required for occasional public speaking responsibilities.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift up to 75lbs on occasion and 40lbs frequently (children) and move intermittently during work hours.
• Ability to thoroughly understand Y-USA's three focus areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility; proven ability to identify and meet the needs of the health seeker

• Be part of an awesome team! Work together under a Site Coordinator to create an amazing experience for every child.
• Keep kids safe and supported while making sure everyone has a place to shine.
• Help set up, clean up and keep the site flowing smoothly.
