BAYS, Inc. in Florida is seeking a Community Supervision Specialist to supervise and guide youth on caseloads, in homes, schools, and other facilities to ensure court order compliance.

You will perform face-to-face contacts, maintain documentation, and participate in supervision decisions. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 6 months of experience with at-risk youth, and a valid driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle for work.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 6 months experience working with at risk youth.
• Familiarity with the Juvenile Justice System and community resources is preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license, ability to use personal vehicle for work purposes, and appropriate vehicle insurance.

Responsabilidades

• Examine case file to become familiar with youth history and keep up to date with information as it is added to the file.
• Notify supervisor and Probation Officer immediately in the event of a youth crisis, suspected illegal activity or any other youth or program incident.
• Attend weekly Supervised Release Review Committee meetings to provide updates to Circuit Management and participate in the decisions regarding continued supervision standards for the youth assigned.
• Review the daily alerts report. Respond within 24 hours to all alerts received.
• Respond to violations of supervision in accordance with contract requirements.
• Attend departmental and professional trainings, workshops, and conferences to ensure best practices.
• Assist circuits with vacancies, vacations, PTO, high number of youths.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.
