The Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, MA is seeking a Young Adult Administrative Assistant who provides administrative support to physicians and staff in a busy ambulatory setting. You will manage calendars, coordinate appointments, and ensure accurate patient information while delivering excellent customer service to patients and external partners.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Answers and screens telephone calls; greets patients and directs them appropriately.
• Updates patient demographics and insurance information; coordinates and schedules appointments.
• Prepares patient records and acts as liaison with other departments and external customers.
• Maintains physicians’ calendars; drafts correspondence and prepares materials for meetings.
• Queues prescriptions for renewal and reviews medication listings in Web OMR.
