Job summary

MISSOURI VALLEY FAMILY YMCA in Bismarck, ND is seeking a part-time Childcare Assistant to support after-school programs and daily activities for children.

The position is Monday through Friday, 1:30 pm–6:00 pm, starting August 20, 2026, with a pay rate of $13.50–$15.50 per hour. CPR and First Aid training are provided by the YMCA and must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in childcare or educational settings is a plus.
• CPR & First Aid Certification and Child Abuse prevention training will be completed within 90 days of hire and are provided by the YMCA.

• Assist children with snack and clean up.
• Facilitate and engage in fun and educational activities with children.
• Observe children and maintain open communication with parents.
• Assure child safety by understanding and following safety and security procedures.
