Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Yield Enhancement Engineer Intern to collaborate with senior engineers on yield improvement projects.

You will gain hands-on experience in semiconductor characterization, automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled engineering workflows while contributing to yield improvements and manufacturing excellence. Responsibilities include testing wafers, performing failure analysis, and developing data-driven solutions to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical field (EE, CE, CS, Data Science, etc).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate across multifunctional teams.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor devices or manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Test wafers with probe stations and characterization equipment; analyze test data.
• Support yield investigations and failure analysis activities.
• Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and root causes.
• Develop scripts, dashboards, and automation to improve workflows.
• Apply statistics and AI tools for defect detection and optimization.
• Collaborate with Design, Process Integration, Manufacturing, Test, and Product Engineering teams; present findings.
