Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Yield Enhancement Engineer Intern to join our semiconductor manufacturing team. You will work alongside experienced engineers to investigate yield issues, perform electrical failure analysis, analyze wafer and manufacturing test data, and develop data-driven solutions to improve engineering effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field relevant to semiconductors.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to communicate findings.
• Experience with data analysis, programming or automation tools is preferred.
• Interest in AI-enabled workflows and manufacturing optimization.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience testing semiconductor wafers and analyzing test data.
• Support electrical failure analysis and yield investigations.
• Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies and root causes of yield detractors.
• Develop scripts, dashboards and automation to improve workflows.
• Apply AI tools and data analytics for defect detection and process optimization.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and present findings via reports.
