Please note that while this role will operate remotely, it is required that the candidate resides in the Western Region of the United States. At this time, we are not considering candidates in the Bay Area.

About Yelp

Yelp was created to connect people with great local businesses. As an Inside Sales Representative (ISR), you'll work directly with these local businesses to help them achieve their goals through Yelp's advertising programs. You'll communicate with small business owners via phone to understand their needs and tailor solutions to help their businesses grow.

Success in this role is measured by achieving and exceeding sales goals, managing rejection, and working effectively in a virtual team environment with flexibility for remote work.

What You'll Do
  1. Educate, strategize, and sell Yelp advertising programs through outbound calls; this role is 100% phone-based.
  2. Reach as many businesses as possible, working one of the specified schedules in your local time.
  3. Manage a pipeline of clients using Salesforce CRM.
  4. Work remotely from home, selling advertising to local businesses on a set weekday schedule.
  5. Become an expert in Yelp's advertising solutions, adapt product recommendations, and handle customer objections.
  6. Achieve and exceed monthly sales goals, demonstrating a strong work ethic and persistence.
  7. Stay organized and manage your time to meet daily goals.
What We're Looking For in You
  1. Willingness to learn and improve continuously; handle rejection professionally.
  2. Ability to multitask and navigate multiple tools and screens.
  3. Comfort with new software such as Google Suite and Salesforce.
  4. Curiosity and eagerness to ask questions.

Requirements
  1. GED/HS Diploma with 2+ years of customer-facing experience OR Bachelor's Degree.
  2. Comfort with phone-based sales.
  3. Proficiency with computers and email; experience with Google Suite and Mac is preferred.
  4. Distraction-free work environment.
  5. Ability to prioritize and work independently.
  6. Legal US work authorization.
Training and Development
  1. Two months of comprehensive initial training, with ongoing career development through the Yelp Sales Development Program.
  2. Learn sales techniques, industry knowledge, and CRM tools like Salesforce.
  3. Path for professional growth with potential increases in compensation, title, and responsibilities.
Compensation and Benefits
  1. First-year earnings range from $50k-$65k, including base salary and uncapped incentives.
  2. Year 2 on target earnings are around $70k, with top performers earning approximately $112k.
  3. Starting base salary of $37k plus uncapped commissions.
  4. Full medical, vision, and dental coverage from day one.
  5. Generous PTO, wellness days, holidays, and parental leave.
