Job summary

The YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina is seeking a Head Lifeguard for year-round presence at the Sampson County YMCA in Clinton, NC. You will supervise lifeguards, monitor pool safety, and ensure records and policies are followed to provide a welcoming, safe environment for members.

Responsibilities include maintaining pool chemistry records, conducting in-service trainings, staffing coverage, and emergency readiness in line with YMCA procedures.

Qualifications

• Certifications listed include ARC/YMCA Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid.
• CPO and LGI are highly recommended.
• Ability to maintain readiness and respond to emergencies per YMCA standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance and safety of pool and deck.
• Conduct pool maintenance and chemical testing.
• Assist Aquatics Director with trainings.
• Ensure staff accountability and shift coverage.
• Complete required reporting and attend trainings.
