Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Landscape Specialist & Snowplow Driver to join our team for year-round employment. This dual-role position requires a unique professional who transitions seamlessly between high-end seasonal property maintenance and demanding winter snow management.
During the growing season, you will focus on high-quality gardening, precise plant care, installation, and detailed property maintenance. When winter hits, you will pivot to providing efficient, thorough commercial snow plowing and ice management during Minnesota winter storm events.
If you take pride in a manicured landscape, understand the science of plant health, and can handle a plow truck with precision in a blizzard, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities

- Detailed Plant Maintenance: Perform pruning, deadheading, weeding, and proper structural care for a diverse range of zone 4 perennials, annuals, shrubs, and ornamental trees.

- Property Upkeep: Identify plant health issues, diseases, or hydration needs
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate standard landscape equipment, including commercial stand on mowers, blowers, string trimmers and misc hand tools.
Winter: Commercial Snow Removal
- Snow Plowing: Operate commercial plow trucks equipped wide-out plows, clearing expansive commercial parking lots and designated routes.
- Ice Management: Apply salt and deicers efficiently, ensuring safe vehicle and pedestrian transit across managed sites.
- Equipment Upkeep: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on plow trucks, blades, and salt spreaders to ensure operational readiness.
- On-Call Dispatch: Respond promptly to weather-dependent, on-call night, weekend, and early-morning shifts based on snowfall tracking.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 2+ seasons of commercial snow plowing experience and 2+ years of professional landscaping/horticulture experience.
- Plant Knowledge: Strong foundational understanding of plant care, identifying plant varieties, weeding (e.g., creeping charlie management), and proper watering techniques.
- Eye for Detail: High standards for property cleanliness, straight plow lines, accurate curb-to-curb clearing, and immaculate planting beds.
- Driving Record: Valid Minnesota Driver’s License with a clean, insurable driving record.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in extreme weather conditions (both summer heat and sub-zero winter storms), and work flexible, weather-dependent hours.
Benefits
- Competitive, dependable year-round hourly pay.
- Overtime opportunities during significant snow events.
- Well-maintained, modern trucks and commercial landscaping equipment.
- Paid training and opportunities for career advancement within a growing team
