Job summary

NWU is seeking a research-focused intern to catalog products across six Enablement areas and document their business relevance. You will work with Pillar Leads and analysts, prioritizing which items need formal requirements documentation and drafting justification analyses.

You will maintain documentation in Confluence and Jira and may explore other pillars for a holistic view of the team’s scope. Deliverables include a complete Product Catalog, a prioritized documentation list, and a final

Responsibilities

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Researching and cataloging all products and tools within the six Enablement areas: Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Operations, Security Services, Solutions/Enterprise Architecture, and Enterprise Technology Solutions, with guidance from the Pillar Lead and supporting analysts
• Documenting the functional purpose and business relevance of each identified product
• Evaluating and prioritizing which products require full requirements analysis documentation to ensure sustained support and institutional knowledge
• Drafting a written analysis explaining the rationale behind each prioritized product's need for formal requirements documentation
• Maintaining organized documentation throughout the internship using Confluence and Jira
• Potentially exploring Clearing and Risk pillars and working on engagements across all three pillars to gain a holistic view of the team's scope
• Deliverables include a completed Product Catalog, a prioritized list of products requiring documentation, a written analysis justifying prioritization, and a final presentation to BSA and ITBM Leadership

About You

The company is looking for:

• Rising senior or second-year graduate student, graduating December 2027 or May/August 2028
• Majors in Computer Science or Business Analysis
• Working knowledge of Confluence and Jira (required)
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure basics (preferred)
• Conceptual understanding of networking and virtualization foundations (preferred)
• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles (preferred)
• Inquisitive with a strong drive to learn new concepts
• Self-motivated and driven to learn
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Well organized, able to manage documentation and track progress across multiple product areas

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $25.00 per hour
• Eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award based on individual and company performance
