Job summary

Pueblo School District No. 60 seeks a Year-Long Substitute to provide consistent, quality instruction in alignment with our mission to support student success.

You will substitute for teachers, deliver standards-based lessons, and contribute to a positive learning environment across grade levels. You will collaborate with teaching staff, use data to inform planning, and participate in district professional development.

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Teaching License within 60 days from date of hire.
• K-12 Endorsement OR Bachelor's Degree or higher and eligible for a 3-year Substitute Authorization.
• Employee must complete a fingerprint-based criminal background check.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Substitute for classroom teachers.
• Provide high quality classroom instruction.
• Administer various assessments.
• Establish clear classroom routines and procedures that create a positive student-centered learning environment.
• Utilize data from a variety of sources to collaboratively plan and adapt instruction; submit lesson plans.
• Implement evidenced-based instructional practices that build student knowledge and skills.
• Actively engage in professional development activities.
• Maintain a professional attitude and work ethic.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate as a member of a high performing team to drive school improvement.
