Job summary

Mohawk Industries is a Fortune 500, global flooring leader with brands across residential and commercial spaces. We are seeking a Yarn Production Operator to support creel and twister processes at our Bridgeport, AL facility.

You will load yarn, monitor machines, and perform quality checks while following safety procedures and on-the-job training. Prior yarn/manufacturing experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• On-the-job training and health/safety training completed.
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creel yarn packages and load yarn into twister.
• Reposition buggies and stage tubes for winder operation.
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs.
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container.
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency.
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
