Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Twister Operator for the B shift (6 PM–6 AM Swing Shift). The role involves setting up, operating, and tending to machines that twist yarn, loading yarn, and managing buggies, with a focus on safe, efficient production.

Responsibilities include threading, doffing, quality checks with black light, and following all safety and SOPs. Prior yarn/manufacturing experience and a HS diploma are preferred, with training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Successful completion of all required on the job training
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
• Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load yarn into twister
• Reposition buggies of yarn at the twisters and stage tubes for winder operation
• Thread ends of single yarns, operate the spindle, and repair breakouts during production runs
• Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container
• Monitor production output and machine equipment for safe and efficient operation
• Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain machine efficiency and meet production requirements
• Perform quality checks using black lights to check yarn
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management
