Position Summary

The duties of a yard worker can vary and include, but are not limited to:

• Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment. Must be able to receive multiple orders and organize them when loading onto trucks or within the yard.
• Assisting in maintaining our MOT devices onsite as well as various equipment.
• Assisting in building cages.
• Keeping the yard/warehouse clean and organized.
• Must be a safe worker capable of lifting 90 pounds without assistance, occasionally up to 160 pounds with assistance. The role also requires frequent standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, and bending.
• Welding on occasion.
• Willingness to work outdoors.
• Occasionally operate various equipment to move materials around the yard.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Minimum Qualifications

• Problem-solving skills.
• Valid Driver's License; CDL A or B preferred but not required.
• Ability to work well in a team environment with changing demands.
• Reliable transportation.
• Effective communication skills.
• Action Traffic Maintenance, Inc. may consider alternative combinations of training and experience for certain positions and reserves the right to alter compensation with owner approval.

• Ability to accurately read a level and tape measure.

Physical Demands And Work Environment

The physical demands include frequently standing, sitting, walking, climbing, using hands and fingers, talking, hearing, viewing, and creating written documents. The role involves lifting objects up to 90 lbs., occasionally up to 160 lbs. with assistance, and working near moving mechanical parts and chemicals. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.

All employees are subject to pre-employment drug screening and background checks, including MVR records.

Salary: $16.00 per hour
