Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Ed Herrington Inc. is seeking a full-time Yard Worker for daytime hours, Monday – Friday, 7 am – 4 pm, and every other Saturday, 7 am – 3 pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering yard warehousing areas and assist with their needs.
• Review invoice tickets to ensure correct materials are selected.
• Assist customers with loading purchased materials into their vehicles.
• Direct customers to additional pickup stations as needed.
• Handle and process invoice tickets accurately.
• Receive delivery orders and prepare for loading onto delivery vehicles.
• Support purchasing by verifying delivery orders against vendor paperwork and purchase orders.
• Participate in inventory counts and assist with inventory issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Operate powered industrial trucks to load and move materials, completing daily inspections.
• Cover exposed materials to prevent weather damage as needed.
• Report maintenance needs to the manager.
• Participate in required training sessions.
• Display teamwork and effort in all duties.
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Support company goals by adhering to policies, safety guidelines, and work requirements.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred; 1-3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination.

Physical Demands

Must frequently communicate, lift/move items up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment

Exposed to outside weather, high places, fumes, airborne particles, mechanical parts, and loud noise levels.
