Thames Shipyard and Repair, one of the largest commercial ship repair facilities between New York and Boston, is seeking a reliable, hardworking shipyard rigger/outside machinist. Willing to train the right candidate. Benefits include medical and dental, 2 weeks vacation, 401K, and a full-time position.

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday 6:30am-4:00pm
• Saturday 6:30am-12:00pm
• Overtime available Monday-Saturday
• Double time on Sundays

Responsibilities

• Removing shafts, rudders, and bearings
• Working from scissor and boom lifts
• Working in confined spaces with limited access through eighteen-inch hatch
• Climbing ladders
• Heavy lifting

Requirements

• Pre-employment drug test
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Willing and able to work outside year-round in all weather conditions
