Job summary

Viking Inc. in Belfast, ME is seeking a full-time yard associate to support quality customer service by loading vehicles, preparing orders, and maintaining neat lumber piles.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift, stocking merchandise, handling snow removal in winter, and following company policies. Prior lumber yard and building materials experience is required; forklift experience is helpful. Compensation includes a range with solid benefits.

Responsibilities

• Load company vehicles in accordance with delivery invoices and lift merchandise, lumber and building materials.
• Prepare customer orders by retrieving merchandise from storage per invoices.
• Operate forklift to load, unload and stock merchandise as needed.
• Put away product and keep lumber piles neat and organized.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Report customer complaints to Manager or Officers.
• Inventory goods and notify Manager of shortages.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Removal & snow shoveling of piles and yard during winter months.

Job description

Salary Range: $42,000.00 To $58,000.00 Annually

Basic Function: To perform all assigned duties in the yard to assist with quality customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Load company vehicles in accordance with delivery invoices to include lifting and carrying merchandise, lumber and building materials.
• Prepare customer orders to include retrieving merchandise and materials from storage areas in accordance with customer invoices.
• Operate fork lift to load, unload and stock merchandise as needed.
• Put away product and keep lumber piles neat and organized
• Adhere to all approved company policies and procedures.
• Report customer complaints to Manager or Officers.
• Inventory goods and notify Manager of any shortages
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Removal & shoveling of snow from material piles and yard during Winter Months
