Capital Lumber Co in Healdsburg, CA is seeking a general laborer to support yard operations. Under direct supervision, you will lift and move materials, load and unload trucks, and assist with various tasks in a helping role. The schedule starts at 10am, Monday through Friday, with a starting pay of $20/hour.

• 0 to 2 years previous experience in the industry.
• Good knowledge of lumber products.
• Ability to model Capital values and to provide innovative solutions.
• Ability to deliver high quality, detailed error free work on a consistent basis.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to the extent required to receive and communicate information as necessary to the position.

Responsabilidades

• Duties may include yard clean up, product receiving, breakdown, product handling and operating yard equipment.
• Pick up all foreign material in yard to maintain a safe work environment and clean appearance.
• Collect recyclable materials and store as directed.
• Sweep the yard safely using a mechanical sweeper if available.
• Review supply inventory with Supervisor to maintain necessary level.
• Notify Supervisor of any maintenance or safety issues observed.
• Manually stack lumber products as instructed.
• Assist with inventory and/or cycle counts as directed.
• May operate a gas powered tug to move lumber products.
• Package materials and keep packaging area clean and organized.
• Assist in keeping all lanes and other areas clean and clear for traffic.
• May assist in general yard housekeeping and chores as assigned.
• May use saw to cut lengths from lumber as needed to fill an order if properly trained.
• Keep an inventory of stickers, corners and wrap.
• May occasionally bar code.
• Perform other work related duties as assigned by your supervisor and be flexible and adaptable to changes that will occur during the course of employment.

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, performs a variety of general manual labor tasks including but not limited to, lifting and moving materials, loading and unloading of trucks, and other activities in a helping or assisting role.Monday thru Friday, starting at 10am. Starting at $20/hour

Abilities

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds 5% or less of the workday
• Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
• Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
• Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.

Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes, and moving mechanical parts and vibrations. Work is performed outdoors, and employee is exposed to variety of extreme weather conditions at the distribution warehouse. The noise level in the work environment and warehouse can be loud.
