Job summary

Tindell's Building Materials in Halls, TN, is hiring a Yard / Warehouse Team Member & Forklift Operator. You will safely operate forklifts, load and unload materials, and keep the yard organized to support local builders.

This full-time role offers weekly pay, paid time off, and benefits. Candidates should have forklift experience, be able to lift 50–100 lbs, pass a pre-employment drug screen, and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on forklift operating experience in a lumberyard, warehouse, or industrial setting.
• Ability to lift and carry 50–100 lbs repeatedly using proper technique.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills to process orders and daily logs.
• Reliable team player with strong communication and a positive attitude.
• Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and organize building materials in the yard and warehouse.

What You'll Do

• Drive Operations: Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and organize building materials across the yard and warehouse.
• Support Customers & Crews: Assist builders and walk-in customers with fast, accurate material pickups and order loading.
• Ensure Quality & Accuracy: Double-check delivery orders for complete accuracy and assist with processing returned inventory.
• Maintain Safety & Standards: Keep the yard clean, organized, and secure while completing daily equipment pre-operation safety checks.
• Team Collaboration: Work directly with supervisors and yard crews to keep daily operations moving efficiently.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Hands-on forklift operating experience in a lumberyard, warehouse, or industrial environment.
