Tindell's, Inc. in Maryville, TN is seeking a customer-service oriented sales associate. You will assist customers with product selection, quotes, and sales transactions while maintaining a clean, professional store environment.

Starting pay is $18 per hour, with a raise to $17 per hour after training and commission on sales. Weekly pay is offered, along with benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401k, holidays, and paid time off.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of retail sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and read orders.
• Effective verbal and written communication with customers and coworkers.

Responsabilidades

• Provide prompt, professional service to customers by assisting with product selection, pricing, availability, quotes, estimates, sales orders, and related product recommendations.
• Maintain current knowledge of products, pricing, applications, and industry trends while promoting customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.
• Process sales transactions, refunds, credits, and related documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Support inventory management and store operations by maintaining accurate records, stocking merchandise, maintaining displays, and ensuring areas are clean and organized.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers to support store goals and customer satisfaction.

This position will start out at an hourly rate of $18/hr. Once fully trained in the position, base pay will be $17/hr. and you will begin earning commission on sales as well as your base rate.

BASIC FUNCTION Provides exceptional customer service by assisting customers with product selection, quotes, estimates, sales transactions, and product information. Supports store operations by maintaining merchandise displays, inventory organization, and a clean, professional shopping environment while promoting customer satisfaction and repeat business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service & Sales

• Provide prompt, professional service to customers by assisting with product selection, pricing, availability, quotes, estimates, sales orders, and related product recommendations.
• Maintain current knowledge of products, pricing, applications, and industry trends while promoting customer satisfaction through eAective communication and problem resolution.

Sales Transactions & Store Operations

• Process sales transactions, refunds, credits, and related documentation in accordance with Company procedures.
• Support inventory management and store operations by maintaining accurate records, stocking merchandise, maintaining displays, and ensuring assigned areas remain clean and organized.

Team Support

• Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers to support store goals, customer satisfaction, and operational eAiciency.
• Comply with Company policies, procedures, and dress code requirements while assisting with additional duties and special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of one (1) year of retail sales or customer service experience preferred.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, read orders, complete forms, and follow instructions.
• Ability to communicate eAectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors using verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and professional communication skills.
• Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and material handling practices.
• Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of building materials and related products.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 90 pounds.
• Ability to reach overhead, bend, stoop, squat, and perform repetitive movements as required.
• Manual dexterity suAicient to operate oAice and retail equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work performed primarily indoors in a controlled environment.
• Frequent interaction with customers and operation of oAice and retail equipment.
