Coastal Logistics Group, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Yard & Warehouse Utility Operator to support logistics, material handling, and yard operations.

The role combines moving trailers with a jockey truck, forklift operation, and general labor tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will perform yard checks, load and organize materials, assist with shipping and receiving, maintain cleanliness, and follow all safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a jockey truck, forklift, or general labor is desirable.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus but not required.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• Indoor/outdoor work with exposure to weather, noise, and heavy equipment.
• Hours: flexible hours including potential overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate yard truck (jockey truck) to move trailers and containers safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily yard checks to ensure efficient operations and proper placement of containers and equipment.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, stack, and organize materials and products.
• Perform general labor duties such as sweeping, cleaning, organizing inventory, and assisting with warehouse upkeep.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including verifying paperwork and inspecting goods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, dock, and warehouse areas.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
• Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operations and timely movement of materials.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Support other departments or team members as needed.
