Job summary

Lennox in Denton, TX is seeking a Yard Trailer Operator to safely move trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and parking locations within the distribution center yard. You will support loading and unloading by ensuring timely trailer positioning.

Responsibilities include operating a yard truck, spotting trailers at docking points, performing inspections, maintaining inventory, and coordinating with warehouse staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years related experience.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required depending on facility.
• Experience operating yard trucks or similar equipment in a logistics or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions year-round.
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of trailer types and loading procedures.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and parking locations within the distribution center yard.
• Spot trailers at designated dock doors for loading and unloading.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the yard truck and report issues.
• Maintain accurate trailer inventory and yard organization.
• Coordinate trailer movements with warehouse personnel, dispatchers, and supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
• Assist with minor yard truck maintenance (e.g., checking lights, tires).
• Monitor yard conditions and report hazards or inefficiencies.
