Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have TWIC card.
• Must have heavy hauling experience.
• Must have three (3) years driving mule jockey or tractor trailer experience.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-shift mechanical inspection of assigned company truck (yard mule) and report deficiencies.
• Operate yard truck and ensure cargo is properly secured for transport.
• Load and unload break bulk cargo, containers, steel/pipe using standard equipment.
• Couple and uncouple trailers, connect air and electrical lines.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions and follow signals from loading crew.
• Maintain logs of loads and daily shift activity.
• Maintain clean work area and safety awareness around vehicles and equipment.
• Perform other duties such as general labor as assigned.
