Job summary

Covenant Logistics is seeking a Transportation Yard Coordinator to serve as the liaison between the facility and operations, overseeing dock moves and yard and shuttle operations. You will manage trailer pulls, checks, paperwork, and coordination with vendors.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year of administrative/transportation experience, and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, TMW, and Outlook. This role demands the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ years of administrative or relevant experience preferred.
• 1+ transportation experience preferred.
• AS400 or Yard Management Software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage trailer pulls from all locations (Empties, Raws and Pack Returns).
• Check in all inbound/outbound trucks and inspect trailers, containers, and tankers.
• Timestamp all inbound and outbound paperwork.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound dock moves and delegate to yard drivers.
• Coordinate mechanical/maintenance issues with approved vendors and ensure substitute equipment.
• Manage trailer inventory for Landair and outside carriers.
• Perform daily yard checks and annotate trailer numbers and locations.
