Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking a Transportation Coordinator to support inbound and outbound transportation within the fulfillment center. The role focuses on trailer and yard management, shipment scheduling, and carrier coordination to ensure timely freight movement.

Responsibilities include carrier communication, resolving delays, yard operations, and KPI reporting. The position runs 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, with potential additional hours based on business needs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or fulfillment center operations.
• Working knowledge of yard management, transportation systems, and supply chain operations.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and identify improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key point of contact for carrier communication and escalate issues as needed.
• Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and delays.
• Assist with truck yard operations by monitoring trailer movements and timely processing.
• Track and report transportation KPIs (Yard-to-Empty, Late Ships, Late Inducts, On-Time Performance).
• Support scheduling and shipment planning to maintain efficiency.
• Communicate with building departments to align processes and resolve daily challenges.
• Participate in team meetings to review performance metrics and share updates.
