Job summary

Covenant Logistics in Columbus, OH is seeking a Transportation Yard Coordinator to act as the liaison between the facility and operations, overseeing dock moves and yard operations. You will manage trailer pulls, keep system entries current, and produce shift reports while coordinating with drivers and vendors.

The role requires at least a high school diploma and 1+ year admin or transportation experience; AS400/YMS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year admin experience or similar role preferred.
• 1+ transportation experience preferred.
• AS400 or YMS yard management software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage trailer pulls from all locations (Empties, Raws and Pack Returns).
• Ensure computer entries are current and accurate.
• Fill out shift reports to document daily activities.
• Oversee Driver turnover, equipment maintenance and safety communications.
• Check in all inbound/outbound trucks and timestamp paperwork.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound dock moves as instructed.
• Direct yard moves and delegate tasks to yard drivers; arrange maintenance with vendors.
