Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs trailer switches by hooking and moving a parked trailer between yard and doors.
• Coordinates trailer movements with management or central control.
• Documents trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Loads and unloads packages onto/from delivery vehicles, trailers, conveyors, carts.
• Lifts and carries packages for two to four hour shifts.
• Sorts packages by reading labels and numbers on the conveyor system.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
