Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL – Class A) is required
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
• Ability to read numbers to sort packages correctly
• Proficiency with basic tools and equipment (scales, carts, scanners)
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced yard environment

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer switches: hook and move trailers between yard and doors.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Follow and apply yard safety processes and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
