Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license required for interstate operation.
• Must maintain a DOT file.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• No education required.
• No experience required; 6 months preferred as a package handler or switcher.

Responsibilities

• Performs trailer switches, hooking and moving a parked trailer to/from doors and yard.
• Communicates with management to coordinate trailer movements in the yard.
• Documents trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Understands and demonstrates yard switching safety processes and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
