Job summary

FedEx Group is seeking a Yard Switcher to move trailers between yards and doors, perform basic loading/unloading, and help sort packages safely and efficiently. This role supports efficient yard operations across our Missouri facility.

You will coordinate trailer movements with management, document actions, and conduct basic inspections while maintaining DOT compliance. The job requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• No education required.
• No experience required; six months experience as a package handler or switching/CDL operator preferred.
• Must have a valid DOT file and CDL Class A.

Responsibilities

• Performs trailer switches between yard and doors.
• Coordinates trailer movements with management and central control.
• Documents trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Adheres to yard switching safety processes and procedures.
