Tyson Foods is seeking a warehouse/yard operations associate in New Jersey to operate yard trucks and other material-handling equipment. You will move trailers, load and unload materials, verify documentation, and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy while upholding Tyson Foods safety standards.

The role requires forklift/pallet jack operation, adherence to procedures, and effective communication with warehouse teams.

Qualificações

• Six months of work experience operating a vehicle in a similar capacity within the last 24 months or hold a valid CDL license.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, yard trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and Tyson Foods policies.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for operating yard trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson Foods policies and procedures. The role supports the timely movement of goods throughout the facility, helps maintain inventory accuracy, and contributes to an organized warehouse operation through the safe use of material-handling equipment.

Essential Functions

• Operate yard trucks to move trailers safely and efficiently between designated locations while coordinating trailer movements to support shipping, receiving, and production schedules.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, stage, and transport materials in accordance with training and safety guidelines.
• Receive dry goods, chemical deliveries, and other materials; verify products, quantities, and documentation, and deliver materials to appropriate departments.
• Prepare outbound shipments and maintain accurate shipping, receiving, inventory, and yard records.
• Conduct equipment inspections and report safety concerns, maintenance needs, and operational issues.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse, shipping, receiving, and production teams to support efficient operations and workflow.
• Assist supervisors by communicating instructions to team members and helping ensure assigned tasks are completed.
• Provide backup support for Distribution Administration and High Lift operations as needed.
• Follow all company safety, food safety, quality assurance, and sanitation requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Generate, edit, and upload digital files and maintain operational documentation as required.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, to support daily operations.
• Maintain company store supplies as assigned.

Requirements

• MUST HAVE AT LEAST 6MONTHS OF WORK EXPERIENCE WITH OPERATING A VEHICLE IN A SIMILAR CAPACITY FOR ONE EMPLOYER IN THE LAST 24 MONTHS, OR HOLD A VALID CDL LICENSE.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, yard trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and comply with Tyson Foods policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb in and out of equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in varying warehouse, yard, and climate conditions.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials as required by the job.
• Ability to work safely around moving equipment, trailers, and vehicle traffic.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and perform essential job functions safely.

Pay & Incentives

Pay Range/Rate: $21.90 Incentives: Annual Incentive Plan: No Long-Term Incentive Plan: No Certain roles at Tyson require background checks.
