Job summary

Luby Equipment in Missouri is seeking a Yard Technician to maintain and repair new, used, and rental equipment at the O'Fallon site. The role focuses on keeping the yard and shop organized to maximize productivity and efficiency.

The Yard Technician will load, unload, move, and stage equipment, perform routine maintenance, and operate washing and painting tasks to ensure equipment is ready for job sites and customers.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Experience operating forklifts and various construction equipment.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and inventory control.
• Capabilities in the use of MS Office and dealer business systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading of equipment using forklifts and other equipment.
• Move and stage equipment around the yard and into bays for maintenance.
• Perform general yard and facility maintenance.
• Operate high-pressure wand for washing large machinery and trailers.
• Perform painting tasks.

Summary:

The Yard Technician will ensure that the new/used/rental equipment in the yard and shop are properly maintained and repaired to maximize productivity. This position will be located at our O'Fallon, MO location.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment (this requires operating forklifts as well as large and small construction equipment)
• Moving and staging equipment around the yard and pulling in bays for maintenance.
• General yard and facility maintenance.
• Use of high-pressure wand for rinsing and washouts of large machinery and trailers.
• Painting

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.
• Experience operating forklifts and various construction type equipment.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and inventory control as well as quality control and workflow/assembly processes.
• Capabilities in the use of standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and knowledge of typical dealer business systems.
