Job summary

Luby Equipment in Missouri is seeking a highly motivated Construction Equipment Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment and related attachments at customer sites throughout the region.

You will work independently, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems, complete service documentation, and uphold OSHA safety standards while delivering professional, prompt service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Diesel tech certification preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years' experience servicing heavy construction and industrial equipment.
• CDL with clean MVR required.
• OSHA-10 certification.
• Strong safety awareness and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair construction equipment failures at customer locations.
• Perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and diesel engines.
• Perform preventative maintenance per schedules and standards on equipment in the field.
• Complete required documentation (service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims) via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
• Engage customers in a professional manner and respond promptly to their needs.
• Maintain knowledge of reading schematics and promote safe working conditions per OSHA and regulations.
• Prepare reports to maintain accurate records on equipment and preventive maintenance.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Diesel Technology certification/degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair construction equipment failures both in-house and at customer locations.
• Perform repairs on equipment and accessories including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and diesel engines.
• Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on equipment in the field.
• Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
• Engages customers in a professional manner andanticipatesprompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of and capability in reading and understanding schematics.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of,activelypractice, and promote safe working conditionsin accordance withOSHA and other required regulations dealing with safe operation of all equipment.
• Prepare various reports as directed tomaintainaccuraterecords on equipment and preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GEDrequired. Certification or degree in Diesel Technology Program preferred
• Minimum of5+ years of experience servicing, testing, installing, and troubleshootingheavyconstruction and industrial equipment.
