Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a yard switcher/package handler to move trailers between yards and doors and to assist with package handling. You will communicate with supervisors to coordinate movements, inspect equipment, and maintain safety standards while loading/unloading packages by hand.

Responsibilities include sorting shipments by labels, using scanners and carts, and performing routine checks.

Qualifications

• None required
• No experience required; six months of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers from yard to doors and from doors to yard.
• Communicate with management to coordinate trailer movements.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Load and unload packages by hand and sort by labels and numbers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
