Job summary

Federal Express Corporation Downey, CA seeks a Yard Switcher/Package Handler to move trailers between the yard and doors and assist with package handling. You will hook and move trailers, coordinate with control, document moves, and inspect equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.

You may also load/unload packages, sort by destination, and follow safety procedures in a fast-paced environment. Training provided; full-time on-site position with benefits.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• No experience required; six months preferred in package handling or switching/CDL roles.
• Must understand and follow work duties and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors as directed.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management/central control.
• Document trailer moves using yard management tools or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment.
• Load and unload packages and sort by destination where needed.
