Job summary

BWT Logistics, a division of Red Baron Transportation, seeks skilled CDL Yard Spotters to support day and night operations in a fast-paced yard environment. You will move trailers, perform inspections, and maintain accurate records to ensure safe, efficient trailer flow and site operations.

Qualifications include a valid CDL A, DOT Medical Card, 3+ years yard spotter experience, and a strong safety focus. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Must be in active compliance with the DOT FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Clean driving record with a proven history of safe operations.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Minimum 3 years of yard spotter or similar CDL role is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in operating yard tractors in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. and performing physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently move trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and designated parking spots.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on yard tractors and trailers.
• Ensure all parked trailers are properly chocked, secured, and sealed.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date records of trailer locations and movements.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse leadership and operations teams to coordinate trailer activity.
• Promptly identify and report any equipment malfunctions, potential hazards, or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and obstruction-free yard environment.
• Support other yard and site-related tasks as required.

Compensation and Benefits:

• $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.

Schedule:
