Job summary

Red Baron Transportation, a division of BWT Logistics, seeks skilled CDL Yard Spotters to support day and night shifts. You will move trailers, inspect tractors and trailers, and maintain yard safety and organization.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, DOT Medical Card, FMCSA Clearinghouse compliance, and at least 3 years in yard spotter roles. The position offers competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently move trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and parking spots.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on yard tractors and trailers.
• Ensure trailers are chocked, secured, and sealed.
• Maintain accurate location and movement records.
• Communicate with warehouse leadership and operations teams to coordinate trailer activity.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized yard and support other site tasks.

Position Summary

Red Baron Transportation, a division of BWT Logistics is seeking skilled and dependable CDL Yard Spotters to support our day and night shift operations. This role is critical to maintaining the safe and efficient flow of trailers within our yard. The ideal candidate has a strong safety focus and thrives in the fast‑paced environment of a logistics and distribution center.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently move trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and designated parking spots.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all yard tractors and trailers.
• Ensure all parked trailers are properly chocked, secured, and sealed.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date records of trailer locations and movements.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse leadership and operations teams to coordinate trailer activity.
• Promptly identify and report any equipment malfunctions, potential hazards, or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and obstruction‑free yard environment.
• Support other yard and site‑related tasks as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Current and valid DOT Medical Card.
• Must be in active compliance with the DOT FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• A clean driving record with a proven history of safe operations.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a yard spotter or similar CDL role is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in operating yard tractors in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. and performing the physical tasks associated with the role.

Compensation And Benefits

• $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.

Schedule
