Job summary

Red Baron Transportation in Crossett, AR is seeking CDL Yard Spotters for day and night shifts. You will move trailers between docks, perform inspections, and keep accurate trailer records in a fast-paced yard environment.

The role requires a CDL-A, DOT Medical Card, clean driving record, and 3+ years of yard spotter experience, with outdoor work and lifting up to 25 lbs. Competitive hourly pay and benefits available after 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Current and valid DOT Medical Card.
• Must be in active compliance with the DOT FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• A clean driving record with a proven history of safe operations.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a yard spotter or similar CDL role is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in operating yard tractors in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. and performing the physical tasks associated with the role.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently move trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and designated parking spots.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all yard tractors and trailers.
• Ensure all parked trailers are properly chocked, secured, and sealed.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date records of trailer locations and movements.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse leadership and operations teams to coordinate trailer activity.
• Promptly identify and report any equipment malfunctions, potential hazards, or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and obstruction-free yard environment.
• Support other yard and site-related tasks as required.

Compensation and Benefits:

• $22.00.

Schedule:

Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
