Job summary

Carter Lumber in Ohio is seeking a hands-on Yard Associate to join our team. You will assist contractors and DIY customers with selecting and loading orders, pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, and help maintain inventory while keeping the yard organized and safe.

Training for forklift operation is available; previous forklift experience is a plus. We offer a friendly, growth-oriented environment with benefits and a community-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Friendly personality is essential.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIY customers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain yard inventory and organize the yard.
• Operate forklift or receive training to obtain certification.

Description:
You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven’t operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
