Job summary

Carter Lumber is hiring for a yard associate in Warren, MI. You will assist contractors and DIYers with selecting and loading orders, pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, and help maintain yard inventory. The role requires comfort working outdoors and with building materials; forklift experience or willingness to train is required.

• Customer service experience required.

• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Ability to work outside in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with selection and loading of their order.
• Pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered.
• Help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts.
• Keep the Yard organized and clean.
• Operate a forklift; training and certification offered.

Description:
You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven’t operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
