Job summary

Carter Lumber in Georgia is hiring a full-time Yard Associate to assist contractors and DIY customers with order selection and loading, and to pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.

You will help maintain yard inventory with cycle counts, keep the yard organized, and receive forklift training if needed. This role suits a reliable team player who works well outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Friendly personality a plus.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Ability to work outside in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIY customers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup and/or delivery.
• Help maintain yard inventory with cycle counts and keep yard organized and clean.
• Training available for forklift operation and certification.

Description:
You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven’t operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
