Job summary

Carter Lumber Company in New Martinsville, WV is seeking a yard associate who enjoys outdoor work and collaborating with a team. You will assist contractors and DIY customers with product selection and loading, and help pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.

You will help maintain yard inventory, conduct cycle counts, and keep the yard organized. Forklift operation is required, with training provided for certification.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Friendly personality is important for customer interactions.
• Familiarity with building materials helps with product selection.

Responsibilities

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
