Job summary

Carter Lumber Company in Solon, OH is seeking a Yard Associate to assist contractors and DIYers with order selection and loading. You will pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, help maintain yard inventory, and keep the yard organized and safe. Forklift operation will be trained if needed.

Ideal candidates have customer service experience, a friendly, team-oriented attitude, and the ability to work outside in all conditions. Industry knowledge is helpful for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Friendly personality and strong teamwork are essential.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions is required.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful; forklift training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIYers with selecting/loading orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain Yard inventory with cycle counts and keep area organized and clean.

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
