Job summary

Carter Lumber in Adrian, MI is seeking a reliable yard associate to help contractors and DIYers in selecting and loading orders, pulling and staging materials, and keeping the yard organized.

You will work outdoors in all weather, operate a forklift (training provided), maintain inventory through cycle counts, and support a team that values honesty, hard work, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Friendly personality a must.
• Familiarity with building materials helpful.
• Ability to be a team player is essential.
• Ability to work outside in all conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIYers with selection and loading of orders.

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
