Job summary

Carter Lumber in West Virginia is seeking a yard associate to assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with product selection, loading, and staging for pickup or delivery. You will also help maintain inventory and keep the yard organized, with forklift training available if needed.

Ideal candidates are reliable, friendly, and able to work outdoors in all weather. We offer a team-oriented environment and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Friendly personality and team player spirit.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIYers with order selection and loading.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Maintain yard inventory with cycle counts.
• Keep the yard organized and clean; forklift operation training is provided.

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
