Job summary

Carter Lumber Company in West Virginia is seeking a yard associate to assist contractors and DIY customers with order selection, loading, and loading activities. You will help pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery and keep the yard organized and safe.

This full-time role requires a friendly, team-oriented candidate who can work outdoors in all conditions and operate a forklift after training. Benefits include health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k) matching, paid

Qualifications

• You must have customer service experience and be friendly.
• You should be able to work well in a team and outdoors.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and DIY customers with choosing and loading orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Help maintain yard inventory with cycle counts and keep the area organized and clean.
• Training and certification for forklift operation will be provided.

Description:
You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if youhaven't operated one previously, we will train youand help youattain certification.
